To appreciate the real Hawaii, you need a guide that can weave Hawaii’s turbulent volcanic past and spectacular tropical setting with the history of the people from all around the Pacific who came to make this island their home. My goal is to spark your imagination from both the well-loved and unique lesser-known sights and stories of this island that I have spent a lifetime getting to know.

You can expect an extraordinary experience of discovery. All tours are private so we can make unscripted stops for sightings of whales or monk seals, meet with lei makers as they weave a floral work of art, watch a local festival or surfing competition, or simply stop for Hawaiian shave ice on a hot day.
